WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received September 24, 1980 for the furnishing of 2 Fifteen Passenger. Vans and 2 Wheelchair Acessible [cusses for the Department of Building and Vehicle Maintenance; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to 24 potential suppliers and 5 bids were received; and WHEREAS, funds for this purchase are available in the Trust and Agency Fund - Opening Doors to Leisure Project; and WHEREAS, this equipment will be used by the Department of Leisure Services for the purpose of conducting special. programs; and (.7 ; WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Department of Building and Vehicle `rj i Maintenance recommend that the bids received from Hollywood Chrysler Plymouthr"" and Hausman Bus Sales be accepted as the most advantageous bids to the City; C) " NOW, 'THEREFORE, BE 11' RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: C./) Section 1. The September 24, 1980 bids of Hollywood Chrysler Plymouth for furnishing 2 Fifteen Passenger Vans at a cost of $20,761.48 and Hausman Bus Sales for furnishing 2 Wheelchair Accessible Busses at a cost of $46,389.08 for the Department of Building and Vehicle Maintenance, at a total cost of $67,150.56 are hereby accepted with funds hereby allocated from the 'Trust and Agency Fund - Opening Doors for Leisure Project. Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to instruct the Purchasing Agent to issue the Purchase Orders for this equipment.
