Box 33078 Miami, FL 33133 Dear Sir, The Mornin6side Civic Association (formerly the Morning - side Park HomowTners Association) has recently expressed its deep concern over the increase in crime and criminal activities in and around :,Iorninbside Park. We have noted with interest Commissioner Lacasa's sugges- tion, that some city parks hours of operation be limited by a curfew. During our last general meeting, the Morningside•Civic Association adopted a resolution to petition the city coni,,ission for restricted hours of operation for Morning - side Park. We would line several minutes during the December 17 Com- mission raeetind, to express our support for the limita- tion of park hours and to present our petition to the city cc,m.*Jis s ion . -- We feel that discussion of the issue could take place dur- irL6 the Decer,,ber 17 coimnission meeting. Furthermore, we feel that during this discussion the opinion of our asso- ciation will be pertinent and should be heard at this time.
