WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received November 3, 1980 for the furnishing; of one Rotary Riding 'Mower for the Department of Parks; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to 23 potential. suppliers and 4 bids were received; and WHEREAS, fundsfor this purchase are available in the 1980-81 Capital Equipment Budget; and WHEREAS, this equipment will be used by the Department of Parks for the purpose of replacing worn equipment; and WHEREAS, the City manager and the Department of Parks recommend that the bid received from De -Bra Turf and "industrial Equipment Co. be accepted as the most advantageous bid to the City; NOW, THEREFORIE, BL IT RESOLVED BY THE CO1DIJSSION OF THE CITY OF MIAklI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The November 4, 1980 bid of De -Bra Turf and Industrial Equipment Co. for furnishing one Rotary Riding Mower to the Department of Parks at a total cost of $7,179.00 is hereby accepted with funds hereby allocated from the 1980-81 Capital Equipment Budget of that department. Section 2. That the City `tanager is hereby authorized to instruct the Purchasing Agent to issue the Purchase Order for this equipment. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17 day of DECEMBER 1980. MAURICE A. This equipment will replace similar equipment that is worn beyond economical repair, and will be used for mowing around tree lines and rough areas. The Department of Parks concurs with this recommendation.
