A RESOLUTION CONFIP11ING THE SELECTION OF
KENNETH HARRISON AS REPRESENTATIVE OF
CITY OF MIAMI POLICEMEN AND ROBERT E.
WEILBACHER, 7R. AS REPRESENTATIVE OF CITY
OF MIAMI FIREMEN TO THE RETIREMiENT BOARD
OF TIIE I1IAI1I CITY EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT
4 a t;f SYSTEM,
WHEREAS, pursuant to court order, the recent amend-
ments to the city's retirement ordinances have not yet be-
come operative; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Fraternal Order of Police,
Miami Lodge 20, and the International Association of Fire-
fighters, AFL-CIO Local No. 587, have held meetings for the
purpose of selecting members to serve upon the Retirement
Board of the Miami City Employees' Retirement System; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Policemen and the City of
Miami Firemen have duly selected their respective members
to said board; and
WHEREAS, the President of the Fraternal Order of Police,
Miami Lodge 20, and the President of the International Asso-
ciation of Firefi.-Ihters, AFL-CIO Local No. 587, have duly
communicated the results or sair'. selections; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission desires to confirm the
results of said selection;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The selection of KENNETH HARRISON, as the
representative of the City of Miami Policemen, to serve the
unexpired term of JAMES W. REESE, to the Retirement Board
of the Miami City Employees' Retirement System is hereby
confirmed.
Section 2. The selection of ROBERT E. WEILBACHER, JR.
as the representative of the City of Miami Firemen, to the
Retirement Board of the Miami City Employees' Retirement
Systern is hereby confirmed.

Dear Mr. Fosmoen:
Due to the recent retirement of James Reese, there is a vacancy on
the Pension Board for the Police Service. At the Executive Board Meeting
on 17, November, 1980, and the Renular Membership Meeting on 19, November,
1980, it Was unanmiously voted to have Captain Kenneth R. Harrison to serve
out the remainder of James Reese's term.
