() n 15 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE T10. 6871, THE COPTREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE FOR THE CITY OF MIAMI, BY CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF LOT7 LESS W10' THEREOF AND ALL OF LOTS 8 THRU 14 INCLUSIVE; BLOCK 60N; MIAMI SOUT11 HALF 59N AND 60N SUB (1-185), BEING 600 BISCAYNE BOULEVARD, AS FOLLOWS: LOT 14, FROM C- 2 (COIIILTNITY COMMERCIAL) TO C-3 (CENTRAL COMMERCIAL), LOTS 7 THRU 13, FROM C-4 (GENERAL COM,ERCIAL) TO C-3 (CENTRAL COMMERCIAL), AND BY MAKING THE NECESSARY CHANGES IN THE ZONING DISTRICT r7AP 11ADE A PART OF SAID ORDINANCE NO.6871, BY REFERENCE AND DESCRIPTION IN ARTICLE III, SECTION 2 THEREOF; BY REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES CODE SECTIONS, OR PARTS THEREOF IN CONFLICT AND CONTAINING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE. WILEREAS, the Miami Zoning Board at its meeting of September 22, 1980. Item No. 5, following an advertised hearing, adopted Resolution No. ZB 180-80 by a 7 to 0 vote recommending a change of zoning classification , as hereinafter set forth; and IMEREAS, The City Commission after careful consideration of this matter, deems it advisable and in the best interest of the general welfare of the City of Miami and its inhabitants to grant this change of zoning classification as hereinafter set forth; NOW, THEREFORE., BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Ordinance No. 6871, The Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance for the City of Miami, be and same is hereby amended by changing the zoning classification of Lot 7 less W10' thereof and all of Lots 8 thru 14 inclusive; Block 60N; MIAMI SOUTH HALF 59N and 60N SUB (1-185), being 600 Biscayne Boulevard, as follows: Lot 14, from C-2 (Community Commercial) to C-3 (Central Commercial), Lots 7 thru 13, from C-4 (General Commercial) to C-3 (Central Commercial), and by making the necessary changes in the zoning district map made a part of said Ordinance No. 6871, by reference and description in Article III, Section 2, thereof. fo"'. Section 2. That all laws or parts of laws in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed insofar as they are in conflict. Section 3. Should any part or provision of this Ordinance be declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the same shall not affect the validity of the Ordinance as a whole. The site's location makes it an ideal condidate for uses which are transitional to downtown and to the proposed Parkwest Newton-Intown. C-3 zoning will allow such development to take place.
