Garcia Acting Director of F nce ;AFEMORANDUM December 30, 1980 FILE Appropriation of $30 0000 Requested from Capital Improvements Ordinance to Fund Renovation of Watson Building, Second Floor ?EfCPKN _cs ...c1-o,,U tea It is recommended that appropriations totalling $30,000 be made from Capital Improvement Funds for the renovation of the Watson Building, Second Floor, for occupancy by the Risk Management Division of the Department of Finance. The Division of Risk Management of the Finance Department must vacate its , present location at 3318 Pan American Drive because of the scheduled demolition of all old "barracks" buildings. This Division can be relocated to the second floor of the Watson Building, provided that suitable renovations are made. The Finance Department has received from C. E. Cox a memorandum dated November 7, 1980, in which estimates totalling $20,950 were presented in connection with carpentry, electrical work, and painting required as part of the proposed renovation. An additional $9,050 is estimated as the requirement for furnishings and special partitions to accommodate the CRT equipment. Therefore, it is requested that an appropriation totalling $30,000 be made by amending the Capital Improvement Ordinance to provide funding to the Finance Department for this renovation project. The appropriate ordinance has been prepared for consideration by the City Commission at the meeting on January 15, 1981 and a copy is attached. CEG : j r Attachments 11 ..*Via • CITY OF MIAMI.
