WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received December 22, 1980 for the furnishing of 33 Twin Beacon light Bars for the Department of Building and Vehicle Maintenance; rand WHL•'REAS, invitations were mailed to 8 potential suppliers and 3 bids were received; and WHEREAS, funds for this purchase are available in the 1980-81 Capital Equipment Budget; and WHEREAS, this equipment will be used by the Department of Building and Vehicle Maintenance for the purpose• of installing required emerlcnry equipment on new additional police pursuit vehicles; and h'1117RLAS, the City Manager and the Department of Building and Vehicle ?Iaintenance recommend that the bid received from P. T. Garrett for furnishing 33 Twin Beacon Light Bars to the Department of Building & Vehicle Mainte- nance at a total cost of $18,029.35. Pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received December 22, 1980 for furnishing 33 Twin Beacon Light Bars for the De- partment of Building and Vehicle Maintenance. The Light Bar is a 12 volt twin beacon bar with synchronized blue and red ray lights, high power speaker, electronic siren and microphone. This equipment is to be installed on 33 new additional police pursuit vehicles which are presently on order.
