A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING $1,300 OF FY'80-81 FEDERAL
REVENUE SHARING FUNDS TO THE FIRST UNITED (METHODIST
CHURCH OF MIAMI, INC., INICREASING THE AGENCY'S ALLOCA-
TION FROM $9,358 TO $10,650 FOR THE PERIOD OCTOSER 1,
1980 - SEPTEMBER 30, 1981; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO AMEND THE EXISTING SUBCONTRACT IWITH
SAID AGENCY.
WHEREAS, the City Commission has indicated its intent to
support certain social service programs providing service to residents of the
City of Miami through an allocation of Federal Revenue Sharing funds; and
'WHEREAS, funds in the amount of $899,543 have been previous-
ly appropriated by Ordinance No. 9179 to accomplish this purpose; and
WHEREAS, the First United Methodist Church of Miami, Inc.,
is one of these previously approved social service agencies; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 80-724
for this purpose on September 25, 191810, thereby allocating S780 of FY 1980-81
Federal Revenue Sharing funds to First United Methodist Church of Mliami, Inc.
for the period October 1, 1980 through October 31, 1980; and
I:HEREAS, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 80-784
for this purpose on October 30, 1980, thereby allocating S8,573 of FY'80-81
Federal Revenue Sharing funds to the aforementioned Agency for the period
November 1, 1980 through September 30, 1981 (the remainder of the fiscal year);
and
1dHEREAS, it has been determined that the Agency will require
an additional S1,300 to maintain program operations; and
1dHEREAS, sufficient FY'80-81 Federal Revenue Sharing funds
are available to per -nit the reallocation of $1,300 from the Department of Com-
munity Development's budget to the aforementioned Agency;
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
N;G;N, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COi �IMISSIONJ OF THE CITY
Section 1. S1,300 of FY'80-81 Federal Revenue Sharing Funds
are hereby transferred to First United Methodist Church of '.Iiami, Inc. for the
purpose of maintaining program operations.

Section 2. The City «anager is hereby authorized to increase
the Agency's allocation from 59,358 to 510,658 for the period commencing October 1,
1980 and ending September 30, 1981.
Section 3. The City 11anager is hereby authorized to amend
the existing subcontract with the aforementioned Agency, subject to the conditions
and limitations contained herein.

Additional Funding for the First
United Methodist Church of Miami,
Inc.

It is recommended that the City Commission
approve a resolution transferring $1,300
of FY' 80-81 Federal Revenue Sharina Funds
to First United Methodist Church of Miami,
Inc.
The Agency is currently funded at the level of $9,358, but needs an
additional $1,300 to cover program costs and be in compliance with
Federal and contractual requirements. Federal Revenue Sharing funds
are available from the FY' 80-81 Community Development Department
budget for this purpose.
The attached resolution authorizes the City Manager to amend the
existing contract with this agency.
