EN. c .. _ ,
New Washington Heights Community Development Conference, Inc., as
requested by the City Commission, presented a proposal to the
Overtown Advisory Board to extend its contract for economic devel-
opment activities in the Overtown area by an additional $25,000.
This proposal, which was presented at the Februar'! 3rd meeting, was
unanimously rejected by the Overtown Advisory Board.
I We have yet to be given a copy of the Hotel Feasibility Study re-
quested the last time this was raised before the City Commission,
even though the study was paid for with City Community Development
funds; therefore, city property.
This program has requested the $25,000 from the city to carry it
until such time as the application to the Community Development
Corporation Support and Assistance Program is awarded by the state.
The state has informed us that they will have nothing definite on
the application until early in April.
