CITY O' INTER -OFFICE MEMORANDUM — TO Richard Fosmoen aTt: February 24, 1981 City Manager Commission Appointment i FROM Robert D. Krause WErFWt.•.r_s Director Department of Human Resources FNCLQ:1 l: tiF i The City of Miami Commission on the Status of Women recommends the ap- pointment of nine new members to the City Commission, per the attached resolution. The Commission on the Status of women was established by Resolution No. 73-566, on July 1973. This is a volunteer board which represents the concerns of women to the City Government. The Commission member- ship consists of twenty members to be appointed by the City Commis- sion. Recommendations to fill vacancies on the Commission are sub- mitted to the City Commissioners for their consideration. Such re- commendations should reflect the racial, ethnic, economic and social diversity of women in the City of Miami. The Commission has openings for nine new members. Via the attached document the Commission is recommending nine of the twelve indivi- duals who submitted resumes. It has been customary that the City Commission consider the appointment of those individuals recommended by the Commission membership. To fill the existing vacancies it is recommended that the attached resolution be placed on the February 26 agenda for consideration by the City Commission.
