WHEREAS, DIXIE PARK was formally renamed THEODORE R.

CI'BSON PARK on November 26, 1980; and
WI1ERI.'AS, hids for the herein construction project were
previously obtained using the original name; and
WHEREAS, the title of the project parenthetically

bears the original name for purposes of identification only;

and
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received March 24, 1981 for
THEODORE R. GIBSON (DIXIE) PARK - POOL MODIFICATIONS (3111)

WHEREAS, the City "tanager reports that the $152,887
bid of MET Construction, Inc., for the base bid of the pro-
posal, is the lowest responsible bid and recommends that a_
contract be awarded to said firm; and

WHEREAS, the Capital Improvements Appropriation Ordi-
nance No. 9199, as amended, was adopted on November 6, 1980,
and monies are available for the proposed amount of the con-
tract, project expense, incidentals, and indirect cost from

the account entitled "Capital Improvement Fund", as set forth
under Section IX, Item C(ii)4, of said ordinance;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RE-SOLV1.D BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OI' MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The March 24, 1981 bid of MET Construction,
Inc, in the proposed amount of $152,887 for the project
entitled THEODORE' R. GIBSON (DIXTE) PARK - POOL MODIFICA-
TIONS (3RD BIDDING), for the base hid of the propo

such items as advertising, testing laboratories and postage.
Section 5. The additional amount of $6,339 is hereby
allocated from the aforesaid funds to cover the indirect
costs.

enter into a contract on behalf of the City of Miami. with
