to Fill Critical Positions
At the present time this Department has thirty three (33) budgeted
vacancies of which twenty two (22) are listed below. These
vacancies coupled with the loss of all CETA personnel will create kr;,
an appreciable reduction in services required of this Department. µ
I am requesting that all of the listed vacancies be approved for
filling as soon as possible. Each position constitutes a critical
need to enable this Department to provide essential services re-
quired by using Departments.
Communications Maintenance
1 Communications Technician * - Additional vacancy due to intradivisional pro-
motion. Continual expansion of specialized
equipment within police and fire departments
demands constant attention. Statewide re-
cruiting did not prove fruitful.

1 Administrative Assistant II**- Selected this Department's A.A.II for Assistant
Director in another Department. A.A.II. in this
Department is an integral position.
