Ordinance Revising 30-5
Fees Charged for Use of
City Pools
It is recommended that fees charged for use of the City -owned municipal pools be revised
in the below listed manner, as per the
attached ordinance.
The cost of operating municipal swimming pools, including chemicals,
supplies, and salaries, are steadily rising which can only be recap-
tured by moderate increasing of fees charged for usage of the pools.
Such an increase, while serving a monetary purpose, would remain _
comparable to local municipalities offering the same service. In
addition, the establishment of a seasonal pool pass would actually
reduce the cost for a frequent user as well as alleviate problems
involving the handling of daily admissions.
It is, therefore, recommended that the following revisions be approved:
1. Admission fees:
a) Youth resident 25 to 35 nonresident 50 to 75
Adult resident 75 85 nonresident $1 to $1.50
Senior Adult resident free to 35 nonresident 50G to 75fi
2. Group rates - same flat rate, with addition of admission fee per
person as described above.
3. Cabana rental:
a) Daily 50G to $ 1.50 plus daily admission
b) Weekly $ 3.00 'to $ 7.50 plus daily admission
c) Monthly $10.00 to $20.00 plus daily admission
d) Addition of 3-month rate of $50 which will entitle
user to two free admission cards to pool.
4. Seasonal pool pass for youth through seventeen years of age, $10
for unlimited use during public swimming hours for the designated
months the pools are open to public. Good for any pool.
