AT A TOTAL COST OF $1,430,535.00 FOR CONVENTION CENTER, PRASE II - FOUNDATION WORK; AND AUTHORIZING FINAL PAYMENT OF t H t t s $45, 565. 05. 4 ( L WHEREAS, there exists a contract dated April 13, 1979k 13t;Weeh the City of Miami and Bartlett Construction, Inc.; and WHEREAS, the work has been satisfactorily completed, and Bartlett Construction, Inc. has furnished the required documents certifying that all bills for labor and materials have been paid in full in connection with the aforesaid contract; and WHEREAS, the construction manager, architects e.nd engineers on the Conventidn Center project concur that the contractor has satisfactorily completed his work and is due final payment; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Conference Center Department recommend that the completed work be accepted and final payment made to the contractor; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The completed work performed by Bartlett Construction, Inc. for CONVENTION CENTER, PHASE II - FOUNDATION WORK, at a total cost of $1,430,535.00 is hereby approved. Section 2. The proper officials of the City of Miami are hereby authorized to pay $45,565.05 to Bartlett Construction, Inc. as full and final payment for all work performed and all materials furnished in connection with CONVENTION CENTER, PHASE II - FOUNDATION WORK. Bartlett Construction Inc. has completed the project consisting of the construction of foundations for the City of Miami/University of Miami James L. Knight International Center and refurbishing the adjacent seawall along the Miami River. The original contract amount was for $1,435,000 and the completed total cost is $1,430,535. It is now in order for the Commission to accept the completed work and authorize final payment, after all conditions are met.
