WHEREAS, the City of Miami has one (1) mobile tadio 'unit rich is no longer serviceable for City needs; and `hS WHEREAS, this radio can serve no need within any adminis�, native department of the City; and kN { �4 WHEREAS, Action Community Center, Inc., a non-profit corpora xA tion officially supported by the City of Miami as a Social Service agency, will be able to utilize this radio for worthwhile uses �R and has requested that this radio be turned over to it; and WHEREAS, the leasing of this radio to the aforesaid " 4 5 association would serve a public purpose by reason of the signifi-' cant impact upon the ability of the association to render special r Pk transportation services to citizens of the City of Miami in «�a need of such services;` NOW, 'THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE � CITY OF ;•;IAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. To lease to the "CENTER" certain radio equipment described as a surplus :Motorola compact station base repeater and as identi- fied in the inventory statement attached hereto and made a part, hereof by reference, for a rental fee of One Dollar ($1.00) per ig year, k i THE ASSOCIATIO14 AGREES: 1. That it shall surrender such equipment to the City upon request of the City Manager after his determination that this r 4y Agreement should be terminated, as provided in Paragraph 4 below. - 2. That the value of the leased radio equipment is hereby i x established as $50.00. " 3. The "CENTER" shall keep the equipment leased to it under this Agreement in good order and repair and shall be solely re-: rS i V sponsible to the City for its loss and destruction at the value 4 ! ti as established by this Agreement.t 4. The "CITY" shall have the right to terminate this Agree- ment by giving written notice to the "CENTER" at least fifteen s s' days before said effective termination date if the City Manager deems such terminationas being in the best interest of the City.
