CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUNDS DESIGNATED FOR THE
DEVELOPMENT OF WATSON ISLAND MARTNA ANT) MARINE
RELATED FACILITIES FOR PREI.TMTNARS' DEcIGN AND
ENCTNEERING SERVICES, PER'MITTTNG COSTS AND REIM-
BURSABLE TI' ls, AS PART OF THE: FNTSTTN(� AGREEMENT,
DATED AUGUST 22, 1979, BETWEEN THE: CITY OF MIAMI
AND R. DUELL AND ASSOCIATES FOR SERVICES TO BE
PERFORMED UNDER SAID AGREEEMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of. Miami, on August 22, 1979, entered intd-
an Agreement with R. Duell and Associates for the lump sutra of
$40170,000 to provide professional and technical services for all
aspects of the planning, architectural, engineering and construc-
tion phases of the Watson Island Development; and
WHEREAS, said Agreement allows the City to have R Duel! and
Associates perform services in discrete phases and the City 'also

may terminate the Agreement at any time; and

WHEREAS, the City Commission by Resolution No. 80-681, Septem-
ber 25, 1980, authorized the City Manager to proceed with prelimin-
ary design and feasibility of marina and marine related facilities
at Watson Island; and
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 9248, dated February 26, 1981, the
City Commission designated $150,000 from Interama Land Sale funds
for expenditures to be incurred for said design and feasibility
studies; and
WHEREAS, it is the City's desire to engage R. Duell and Asso-
ciates to provide the necessary professional and technical services
required to produce said studies;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE -IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA;
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to expend
an amount not to exceed $90,000 from Capital Improvement Funds
designated for the development of Watson Island Marina and marine
related facilities for preliminary design and engineering sere -
vices, permittipg costs and reimbursable items, as part of the
existing Agreement, dated August 22, 1979, between the City of
