Staff has reviewed this request and there are no available funds in the Coconut
Grove target area allocation to accomodate this request. In light of this, it
is staff's recommendation that the Coconut Grove mental health services project
be established at a funding level of $50,000, said funding to be taken from the
Coconut Grove primary health care project. It should be noted that the Coconut
Grove Family Clinic is not in concurrence with this recommendation. However,
it is staff's determination that the agency can still operate a primary health
care project with $100,500 (in light of the fact that the agency has other funding
sources), despite this reduction and the loss of nine (9) City CETA positions.
