$1,000 FROM THE SPECIAL PROORAMS AND ACCOUNT85
QUALITY OF LIFE PROGRAMS/CITY WIDE EVENTS Eon
THE YOUTH LEADERSHIP WEED CAMP TO DEFRAY THE
COST OF TROPHIES, T-8HIRT8, AND SUN VISORS
POP THE YOUNGSTERS PARTICIPATING IN THE rxbr►tn,�t,
WHERLAS, the week of June 29th through July 8, 1981
has been proclaimed Youth Leadership Week, and
WHEREAS, one hundred of the City and County`s black
male youth between the ages of 12-15, will be partici-
pating in a five day leadership camp in an effort to show
the youngsters of this community how they could become
leaders through sports, community involvement, government,
and ministry, and
WHEREAS, this worthwhile program is supported by
various private, civic, business and governmental agencies
throughout Greater Miami;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA.
Section I. $1,000 is hereby allocated from Special
Programs and Accounts, Quality of Life Program/City-wide
Event to be used by the Youth Leadership Week Camp for
the purchase of trophies, t-shirts, and sun visors for
the youngsters participating in the program.

Boy's Clubs, Biscayne College, H.U:D.,'Chamber of Commerce
and numerous volunteers of the community.

rooms, etc.)
LITHO CAN ATTEND
One --hundred hand picked black male youths from different
sections of our community.; These youngsters must be
between the ages of 12 and 15 years.

E. Career opportunity
II. ORIENTATION SESSIONS AND SEMINARS ■
III. MEALS
All meals will be provided by donations from
within our community. Parents of the youngsters
will be invited to the final dinner on Friday, at
which :time awards and certificates will be given.
IV MOVIES AND ENTERTAINMENT
V. FIELD TRIPS
VI, ORGANIZED RECREATIONAL` ACTIVITIES
Culminating with a family cools -out Friday night.
