WHEREAS, the Miami Planning Advisory Board, at its meeting
f May 20, 1981, Item #4, following an advertised hearing,
Adopted Resolution No. PAB 30-81 by a 6 to 0 vote (2 members
absent) RECOMMENDING APPROVAL of a Public Use, as hereinafter
set forth; and
WHEREAS, the City commission deems it advisable and in the
best interest of the general welfare of the city of Miami, and
its inhabitants to grant the Public Use as hereinafter set forth;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CO',!MISSION OF THE,
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The request for approval of the following
structures, buildings, and uses at: 1007 and 1020 North American
Way, Dodge Island, as described in Warranty Deed (2454-77); zoned
W-I (Waterfront Industrial), per ARTICLE IV GENERAL PROVISIONS,
Section 36(1) of Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance 6871, as per
plans on file: (1) Temporary Trailer for bank offices and Drive-
in tellers; (2) Permanent banking and snack bar facilities within
the proposed Port office Building; (3) Permanent Drive-in Teller
facilities upon completion of the proposed office building, be and
the same is hereby granted.

Consideration of a recommendation to permit the
following structures, buildings, and uses on
above site zoned W-I Waterfront Industrial, per
ARTICLE IV GENERAL PROVISIONS, Section 36(1) of
RN Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance 6871, as per
plans on file:

Temporary trailer for bank offices and
drive-in tellers

ities within the proposed port office
building;
Permanent drive-in teller facilities
upon completion of the proposed
office building.
RE(�UES'T Uses not permitted in the W-I zoning
district are being requested in conjunction
with port activity and development.
ANP,LYSIS The port is constructing a multi -story office
structure for their use and for port users.
Banking facilities are needed on the port pri-
marily for the convenience of the users and work
force on the island. Such facilities would
lessen the number of vehicular trips on and
off the island for said use and, therefore,
be beneficial to the public particularly at
the port entrance at Biscayne Boulevard.

The temporary facilities are needed until

The port is constructing a multi -story office

be beneficial to the public particularly at

The Miami Planning Advisory Board at its meeting of May 20, 1981, Item
r4, following an advertised Hearing, adopted Resolution No. PAB 30-81
by a 6 to 0 vote (two members absent) RECOMMENDING APPROVAL of the
following structures, buildings and uses at 1007 and 1020 North Ameri-
can Way, Dodge Island, as described in Warranty Deed (2454-77); zoned
W-I (Waterfront Industrial), per ARTICLE IV GENERAL PROVISIONS,•Section
360) of Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance 6871, as per plans on file:
(1) Temporary Trailer for bank offices and Drive-in Tellers;
(2) Permanent banking and snack bar facilities within the proposed
Port Office building;
(3) Permanent Drive-in Teller facilities upon completion of the
proposed office building.
There were no objections.
A RESOLUTION to provide for this Public Use has been prepared by the
City torney's office and submitted for consideration of the City
Commission.
