WHEREAS, EDWARD BALL, until his passing on Wednesdays
OHe 24, 1981, was a major business leader in the State of
Florida, having built a financial empire for the Alfred I.
DuPont Estate in the last fifty years; and
WHEREAS, EDWARD BALL lived a full and productive HA
an a businessman, industrialist and philanthropist, having
impacted the State of Florida and the City of Miami in many
ways, such as assuring the realization of the Rickenbacker
Causeway, the Alfred I. DuPont Building, the Florida National::_
Bank and other such entities;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TH CUMMISSION,OF THE>,
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1.. By and through the adoption of this Resold-
tion, the City Commission, on behalf of the City of Miami and
the citizens thereof, hereby expresses its deepest sympathy and
condolences to the family and friends of EDWARD BALL.
