'he Department of Police has requested the purchase of repairs to their Pistol Range, which at this time is inoperative. The existing range equipment was manufactured and installed by Cas- well Equipment Co., Inc., and they have agreed to make the needed repairs at a total cost of $1.4,669.40. The range has been in operation for approximately 5 Spears and has not previously required any ma_jor r.ej)airs. The only alternative to the repair would be to replace the ra'ngel. equipment at a total estimated cost of $70,000.00, It is necessary to have the Pistol. Range in good operating condition in order to train new recruits and to requalify sworn personnel as required.
