Gary DATE: July 17, 1981 City Manager 'Lionel: Status Report on Permitting for Dinner Key Marina REFERENCES: ENCLOSURES: OILS: Attached for your review is a letter dated July 6, 1981 authorizing Biscayne Recreation Development Company to secure all necessary permits in the name of the City of Miami for the reconstruction of the Dinner Key Marina. Biscayne Recreation Development Company, by letter June 3, 1981, outlined a status report as of May 31, 1981. This report outlined the preliminary planning required for the permitting process. A detailed synopsis of the required permits for the project was given with an anticipated submittal time for the permit applications being June 30, 1981. An updated status report has been submitted to Biscayne Recreation Development Company from Crowder, Mahoney, Makowski, Rice & Associates, Inc., consulting engineers for the management company (copy attached). This report indicates that the necessary studies have been completed and final application along with the appropriate exhibits prepared. The joint Department of Environ- mental Regulations and U. S. Dear Mr. Traugott: Pursuant to your request of July 10, 1981 we are pleased to submit herewith an updated teport captioned one status tst of the Environmental per- mit application for the On June 2nd we handed you a copy of a proposed draft of status report No. 1 (copy attached) to be submitted to the City by Biscayne Recreation. This report also gave a general description of what was required for these Permits. It states that permit applications and exhibits would t e be ready me because et submittal 1981 however, this date,could n o reasons: 1. We do not anticipate any difficulty in these public hearings as our proposals fall within those approved execptions provided for in the Aquatic Preserve Act.
