HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-81-0735RESOLUTION NO. 8 -1 " 7 3 5 A RESOLUTION GRANTING A SIX-MONTr EXTENSION OF A CONDITIONAL USE AS LISTED IN ORDINANCE NO. 6871, ARTICLE V, SECTION 1(6)(b), TO PERMIT A 16-SPACE OPEN PARKING LOT FOR PRIVATE PASSENTER VEHICLES ON LOT 22, BLOCK 2; PRINCESS PARK (6-87) BEING APPROXIMATELY 111 NORTHWEST 40TH STREET, AS PER SITE PLAN ON FILE, AS AN ACCESSORY USE TO THE BUILDING LOCATED ON LOTS 23 AND 24, BLOCK 2, PRINCESS PARK (6-87), ZONED R-2 (TWO FAMILY DWELLING). WHEREAS, Article XXXII of the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance No. 6871 permits an extension of a Conditional Use by the City Manager with approval of the City Commission, for a one year period; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends the extension of the Conditional Use granted by Zoning Board Resolution No. ZB 16-81; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The request for a six-month extension of the Conditional Use granted from Ordinance No. 6871, Article V, Section 1(6) (b), to permit a 16-space open parking lot for private passenger vehicles on lot 22, Block 2; PRINCESS PARK (6-87), being approximately Ill Northwest 40th Street as per site plan on file, as an accessory use to the building located on lots 23 and 24, block 2, PRINCESS PARK (6-87); zoned R-2 (Two -Family Dwelling), be and the same is hereby granted. The Department objects to an extension of the variance request waiving all of the 23 required off-street parking. The Zoning Board has received a new request for this site whereby even more development is proposed and additional parking is to be provided on a remote site.
