ORDINANCE NO, 93 03 a
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A NEW TRUST
AND AGENCY ACCOUNT ENTITLED "MARKETING
i AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE --REVOLVING
LOAN FUND PROGRAM", AND APPROPRIATING
_ FUNDS FOR THE OPERATION OF THE SAME IN
AN AMOUNT OF $100,000; CONTAINING A RE-
PEALER PROVISION AND A SEVERABILITY
CLAUSE: AND DISPENSING WITH THE REQUIRE-
MENT OF READING SA14E ON TWO SEPARATE DAYS
BY A VOTE OF NOT LESS THAN FOUR -FIFTHS OF
THE MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION.
WHEREAS, Miami Capital Development, Inc. has received
the amount of $4.8 million from the Economic Development Adminis-
tration to establish a Revolving Loan Fund; and
WHEREAS, Miami Capital Development, Inc. has further
received a grant of $200,000 from the Economic Development Adminis-
tration for the purpose of implementing marketing analyses and
business development technical assistance in connection with the
$4.8 million Revolving Loan Fund; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami, through the Department of
Trade & Commerce Development, is desirous and has the technical
and professional expertise to provide such services to Miami
Capital Development, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Resolution
No. 81-677 on July 23 , 1981 authorizing the City
Manager to execute an agreement between the City of Miami and
Miami Capital Development, Inc. in the amount of $100,000, for
the purpose of providing Miami Capital Development, Inc. with
marketing analyses and business development technical assistance
in connection with the implementation of the Revolving Loan Fund
Program.

NOWT THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COtIMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The following Trust and Agency Fund
is hereby established and resources are hereby appropriated as
described herein!
FUND TITLE: Marketing and Technical
Assistance --Revolving Loan Fund
Program
RESOURCES: Miami Capital Development, Inc. $100,000
APPROPRIATION: Marketing and Technical $100,000
Assistance --Revolving Loan Fund
Program
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances insofar
as they are inconsistent or in conflict with the provisions of this
ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3. If any section, part of section, paragraph,
clause, phrase, or word of this ordinance is declared invalid,
the remaining provisions of this ordinance shall not be affected.
Section 4. The requirement of reading this ordinance
on two separate days is hereby dispensed with by a vote of not
less than four -fifths of the members of the Commission.

isolating funds to be used in connection
with providing services to Miami Capital
Development, Inc. in terms of marketing
analyses and business development technical
assistance for the implementation of
the Revolving Loan Fund."
The Department of Trade & Commerce Development will be entering
into an agreement with Miami Capital Development, Inc. for
professional services in connection with marketing analyses
and business development technical assistance to be provided
for the implementation of a $4.8 million Revolving Loan Fund.
Monies obtained as a result of this agreement - $100,000 -
will be incorporated into the newly established Trust and
Agency Fund and said funds will be used to pay for salaries
and wages and incidental expenses in connection with carrying
out this project.
