HomeMy WebLinkAboutO-09302ORDINANCE NO.� AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 30-53, SUBSEC- TION (A)(2) AND SECTION 30-55, SUBSECTION (a) OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMIs FLORIDA, AS AMENDED, FOR THE PURPOSE OF REVISING THE AMOUNT CHARGED FOR THE CITY OF MIAMI GOLF COURSE WINTER GREEN FEES AND THE SPECIAL PACKAGE OFFERED DURING THE SUMMER SEASON, RESPECTIVELY, CONTAINING A REPEALER PROVISION, A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, AND DISPENSING WITH THE REQUIREMENT OF READING SAME ON TWO SEPARATE DAYS BY A VOTE OF NOT LESS THAN FOUR -FIFTHS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA; Section 1. Section 30-53 of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended, is hereby further amended in the following 1/ particulars:` "Sec. 30-53. Green fees. (A) Regular Green Fees. Green fees for residents and nonresidents of the city are as follows: (2) Winter months: 18 holes .........................�6-38 $7.00 Section 2. Section 30-55 of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended, is hereby further amended in the following 1/ particulars: "Sec. 30-55. Special rates. (a) Special package rates. The following are special package rates for electrical cart rental and green fees during summer months (as provided in subsection (A) of section 30-53) only: Monday through Friday, all day .... �13:99 $14.00 Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, afternoons ........................ 44:3.00 $14.00 State tax is to be paid in addition to the fees specified above, The above rates will carry an exemption from the fifty -cent city tax on golf carts, At Miami Springs Country Club in Miami Springs, the breakdown for the special rate will be as follows, eight nine dollars {48-8A} ($9,00) for the City of Miami; five dollars ($5,00) for pro (concessionaire), -- I/ Words and/or figures stricken through shallbedeleted. The requirement of reading this ordinance on two separate days is hereby dispensed with by a vote of not less than four -fifths of the members of the Commission. ( owar , Director Department of Leisure Services It is recommended that Sections 30-53 and 30-55 of the City Code be further amended for the purpose of revising certain fees at the City of Miami Golf Courses as indi- cated below, as per the attached ordinance. In an effort to increase revenues, and further keeping golf course fees comparable to rates charged at other local courses, it is recommended that the below listed fees be revised at the City of Miami Golf Courses. Green Fees, winter season only 18 Holes - from $6.50 to $7.00 plus State tax Summer Golf Special Rate Weekday anytime, and Saturday, Sunday and holidays after 12:00 Noon - Green fees and electric cart for two - from $13.00 to $14.00 AHII/KDH/mf Encl.
