ENCLOSURES -
This claim arose from an accident in which Maria Vega
tripped and fell on a defect on the sidewalk at 114 North-
west 44th Avenue, Miami, Florida. The ownership and con-
dition of the sidewalk have been verified and the responsi-
bility rests with the City of Miami.
As a result of the accident, Maria Vega, suffered medical
expenses in the amount of $5,260.90. She suffered (1)
a colles fracture of the left wrist with an associated _
fracture of the ulnar styloid, (2) a severely comminuted
fracture of the distal humerus with splitting of the shaft

fied. After extensive settlement discussions and negotiations, _

Office and in accordance with Ordinance #8417 which created
the City of Miami Self -Insurance Program, we recommend that
the attached Resolution be adopted authorizing payment in the
amount of $10,041.50.
