A RESOLUTION APPROVING A ONE (1) YEAR
EXTENSION OF EMPLOYMENT PAST THE AGE
OF 74 FOR VIRGINIA LIEBERMAN ,
` TYPIST CLERK II , DEPARTMENT
OF POLICE
}. EFFECTIVE JULY 29, 1981 ,
THROUGH JULY 29, 1982 ,
' WITH THE PROVISION THAT IN THE EVENT r

OF A ROLLBACK OR LAYOFF, VIRGINIA
LIEBERMAN RATHER THAN A JUNIOR
EMPLOYEE WOULD BE AFFECTED.

WHEREAS, the Civil Service Board, on AUGUST 11, , 1981 ,
unanimously recommended the approval of employment past the age of 74
for VIRGINIA LIEBERMAN ► TYPIST CLERK II , Department of
POLICE , and;
WHEREAS, the City Physician has determined that the physical
condition of said VIRGINIA LIEBERMAN is satisfactory for continued
employment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAI-II FLORIDA:
Section 1. A one (1) year extension of employment past the age
of 74 is hereby granted for VIRGINIA LIEBERMAN , TYPIST CLERK II
Department of POLICE , effective JULY'29,
1981 , through JULY 29, , 1982' , with the provision that in
the event of a rollback or layoff, VIRGINIA LIEBERMAN , rather than a
junior employee would be affected.

At its meeting of August 11, 1981, the Civil Service Board considered
the request of Virginia Lieberman, Typi::t Clerk II in the Department
of Police, for an extension of employment for a period of one (1) year;
to be effective July 29, 1981 to July 29, 1982.
The Board noted that Kenneth I. Harms, Chief of the Department of Po-
lice, had recommended approval of this request and that Dr. L.A. Toto,
City Physician, had found Ms. Lieberman physically qualified to conti-
nue employment for the additional year.
The Board voted to approve the request, with the provision that in the
event of a rollback or layoff, Ms. Lieberman, rather than a junior em-
ployee, would be affected, noting that this is in accordance with past
policy.

Medical Division ENCLOSURES:
Ms. Virginia Lieberman was given a physical examination
today and no significant findings were noted. Her blood
pressure was 130/80. She has lost 23 lbs. and now weighs
147 lbs.
She may continue in her present job classification beyond
the age of 74.

The Civil Service Board, at its meeting of August 11, 1981, approved
one (1) year's extension of her employment for Virginia Lieberman,
Typist Clerk II, Department of Police.
It is respectfully requested that a Resolution be adopted extending ;
Ms. Lieberman's employment from July 29, 1981 to July 29, 1982.-
