A RESOLUTION ALLOCATING $30,000 FROM THE
SPECIAL PROGRAMS AND ACCOUNTS - CONTINGENT
FUND, FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FUNDING
FOR THE PARTNERS FOR YOUTH PROGRAM, WITH
SAID FUNDS TO BE DEPOSITED IN THE PARTNERS
FOR YOUTH TRUST AND AGENCY FUND.
WHEREAS, the Partners for Youth Program, emphasizing
leisure, educational and job opportunity acitivities has been
operating with great success and impact upon the underprivil-
eged youths of our City; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami is a major participant of
the program and desires further monetary support for the con-
tinuation of said activities;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. $309000 is hereby allocated from Special
Programs and Accounts - Contingent Fund, to be deposited in
the Partners for Youth Trust and Agency Fund, to be used for
the continuation of specialized activities pursuant to the
Partners for Youth Program.

The City of Miami has been, since the inception of the Partners for
Youth Program, a major participant of said program which has greatly
impacted the underprivileged youth of our City through the various
leisure, educational and job opportunity activities.

In that it would be of the best interest of the City to support the
continuance of this programs, it is the recommended of the Department
of Leisure Services that $30,000 be allocated from the Special Pro-
gram and Accounts-Contingecy Fund to be deposited into the Partners
for Youth Trust and Agency Fund and to be used for the continuance
of the specialized activities pursuant to this Partner of Youth Pro-
gram, as per the attached resolution.
