HomeMy WebLinkAboutO-09327Amendment No. 15 t%,%Ordinance No. 9179 ORDINANCE NO, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 1 AND 5 OF ORDINANCE NO. 9.179, ADOPTED OCTOBER 3, 1980, THE ANNUAL APPRO- PRIATIONS ORDINANCE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING SEPTEM- BER 30, 1981, AS AMENDED, BY INCREASING THE APPRO- PRIATION FOR THE ENTERPRISE FUNDS IN THE FOLLOWING AMOUNT: MIAMI SPRINGS GOLF COURSE $7,000, BY INCREAS- ING ANTICIPATED REVENUES IN THE SAME AMOUNT FROM FISCAL YEAR 80 RETAINED EARNINGS; FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FUNDS FOR PAYMENT OF TWO INDEPENDENT APPRAISALS FOR THE MIAMI SPRINGS GOLF COURSE PROPERTY, AS AUTHORIZED BY RESOLUTION NO. 81-329, TO F. ROBERT QUINLIVAN IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,500 AND LEONARD A. BIZ IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,500; CONTAINING A REPEALER PRO -- VISION AND A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, AND DISPENSING WITH THE REQUIREMENT OF READING SAME ON TWO SEPARATE DAYS BY A VOTE OF NOT LESS THAN FOUR -FIFTHS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION. WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Ordinance No. 9179, on October 3, 1980, establishing revenues and appropriations for the City of Miami, Florida, for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1981; and ■ WHEREAS, Resolution No. 81-329, adopted April 23, 1981, author ■ ized two independent appraisals for the Miami Springs Golf Course in ■ the amount of $7,000, as follows: - F. Robert Quinlivan in the amount of $2,500 and Leonard A. Biz in the amount of $4,500, with funds therefor allocated from Golf Course Enterprise Fund -Retained Earnings; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Sections 1 and 5 of Ordinance No. 9179, adopted October 3, 1980, the Annual Appropriations Ordinance for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1981, as amended, are hereby further amen- 1/ ded in the following particulars: "Section 1. The following appropriations are made for the municipal operations of the City of Miami, Florida, for the fiscal year 1980-81, including the payment of prin- cipal and interest on all General Obligation Bonds: Departments, Boards, and Offices Appropriation ENTERPRISE FUNDS Miami. Springs Golf Course $43$;-51-7 $445,517 TOTAL ENTERPRISE. The herein appropriation of $7,000 into the Enterprise Funds, Miami Springs Golf Course, from Fiscal. Year 80 Retained Earnings is for the purpose of providing funds for payment of two independent appraisals for the Miami Springs Golf Course property as authorized by Resolution No. 81-329, to F. Robert Quinlivan in the amount of - $2,500 and Leonard A. Biz in the amount of $4$00. Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances insofar as they are inconsistent or in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance - are hereby repealed. Section 4. If any section, part of section, paragraph, clause, phrase, or word of this ordinance is declared invalid, the remaining - provisions of this ordinance shall not be affected. Section 5. The requirement of reading this ordinance on two separate days is hereby dispensed with by a vote of not less than four -fifths of the members of the Commission. N(; L. 01; U U F c, It is recommended that the Annual Appropriation Ordinance No: 9175, as amended, be further amended for the purpose of appropriating $7000 from the Enterprise Fund -Miami Spring Golf Course, for payment of appraisals previously authorized by Resolution 80-329, as per the at- tached ordinance. On April 23, 1981, the City Commission passed Resolution-80-329, authorizing contract for professional services to conduct ap- praisals to the Miami Springs Golf Course Property to MAI's F. Robert Quinlivan ($2,500) and Leonard A. Biz ($4,500), and further, with funds allocated for the Golf Course Enterprise Fund -Retain Earning. Therefore, formal commission action via an amendment to the Annual Appropriation Ordinance No. 9179 is necessary for said appropria- tion and subsequent payment for services, as per the attached ordinance.
