WHEREAS, the Miami City Commission finds that In order to protect the educational, cultural, economic, and general welfare of the public and to promote a sense of identity, stability, and civic pride amongst City residents, it is necessary to recognize and conserve significant elements of Miami's cultural, social, poli- tical, economic, architectural and archeological heritage, by providing for Heritage Conservation Interim Zoning Districts as set forth in Ordinance No: and WHEREAS, the properties bor.einafter set forth meet the intent and criteria for application of Heritage Conservation,Interim Zoning Districts as provided in Or- dinance No. by virtue of having previously qualified for and been accepted to listing on the National Register of Historic Places; and WHEREAS, the Miami Planning Advisory Board, at its meeting of January 21, 1981, Item No. 3 (b), following an advertised hearing, adopted Resolution No. PAB 8-81 by a 7 to 0 vote, recommending approval of the application of Heritage Conservation Interim Zoning Districts to pro- perties currently listed on the National Register of Historic Places, subject to a one year time limit, as hereinafter set forth; and WHEREAS, the City Commission after careful consideration,, of this matter deems it advisable and in the best interest of the general welfare of the City of Miami and its in-.' habitants to approve the application, as hereinafter set forte; f XbW , THI• AtVoRE , BE IT ORDA I NHb BY THE COMMISSION Or THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA.
