ENCLOSURES of October 7, 1981)
The Department of Public Works recommends the
adoption of a resolution authorizing an
increase in contract amount of $6,500 from
the Fifth Year Federal Community Development
Block Grant Funds for the S.C.L. RAILROAD r
STATION - DEMOLITION.
After the contractor began work on the demolition of the
station, we received request from the State of Florida to
include the demolition of the platforms west of the
station in the work and to leave the main entrance on 7th
Avenue intact so that it can be incorporated into their
new building.
The additional work caused an overrun of the contract of
$6,500. The project is being funded by Fifth Year Federal
Community Development Block Grant Funds, with the under-
standing that the State of Florida will reimburse the
City for the cost of the work.
The Department of Community Development has furnished us
with written verification that the $6,500 is available.
