PAVING PROJECT - PHASE IV; WITH MONIES THEREFOR ALLOCATED FROM THE "FEDERAL COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT" IN THE AMOUNT OF $ 7 5 , 6 4 3.0 0 TO COVER THE CONTRACT COST; ALLOCATING FROM SAID FUND THE AMOUNT OF $8,321.00 TO COVER THE COST OF PROJECT EXPENSE; s� ALLOCATING FROM SAID FUND THE AMOUNT OF $1,513.00 TO COVER THE COST OF SUCH ?. ITEMS AS ADVERTISING, TESTING LABORA- TORIES, AND POSTAGE; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH SAID FIRM r WHEREAS, sealed bids were received September 17, 1981 for ALLAPATTAH C.D. PAVING PROJECT - PHASE IV; and WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the bid of FRE Construction Co., Inc. for Bid "B" (Sanitary Sewer) of the proposal is the lowest responsible bid and recommends that a contract be awarded to said firm; and WHEREAS, funds for this project are available from the "Federal Community Development Block Grant Fund"; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The September 17, 1981 bid of FRE Construction Co., Inc., in the proposed amount of $751,643.00 for the project entitled ALLAPATTAH C.D. PAVING PROJECT - PHASE IV, for Bid "B" (Sanitary Sewer) of the proposal, based on unit prices, is hereby accepted at the price stated therein. Briefly, the work required for this project will be the construction of one-half mile of street on: N. W. 30 Street (N. W. 23 Ave.-N. W. 24 Ave.) N. W. 23 Avenue (N. W. 28 St.-N.W. 32 St.) N. W. 24 Avenue (N. W. 30 St.-N.W. 31 St.) Improvements will include asphaltic pavement, concrete sidewalk, concrete curbs and/or gutters, a covered ditch drainage system, sanitary sewer replacement, and landscaping. Bids may be offered on any one or both of the following categories: Highway and Sanitary Sewer. However, in order to offer a TOTAL BID, bids must be offered on both categories. For any technical questions, call 579-6865, William A. Mackey, P.E., Highway Engineer. All bids shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and Specifications. Plans and specifications may be obtained from the office of the director, Department of Public Works, 275 N. W. 2 Street (4th floor), Miami, Florida.
