COMMENCING JULY 23, 1981.
WHEREAS,
it is the desire of the City Commission to foster
economic developments promote trade and commerce activities and
successfully project the image of the City of Miami as a major
international financial and distribution center; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission created the City of Miami-11
Advisory Council on Economic Development by

to the Advisory Council on Trade & Commerce Development.
The individuals recommended possess a high degree of integrity,
social consciousness and enthusiasm. The list is broken down

The 15 member City of Miami Advisory Council on Trade and
Development was created by Resolution No. 79-132 adopted
February 26, 1979, with the members of said council serving
a terms of 2 years. Appointment of members to the Council
Was the subject of Resolution No. 79-515, adopted July 24,
1979.
Accordingly, the attached proposed resolution provides for _
the appointment of 15 individuals by the City Commission, -_
with the Chairperson of said Council also being designated
by the City Commission. Eleven categories of specialization
in the private sector have been set forth in the attached
proposed legislation since this reflects the breakdown of
specialization categories contained in the initial appointing
resolution. �=
