Dear Mr. Knox:
In accordance with our telephone conversation
' today, this will confirm that, in view of the action
taken by the City Commission on September 10, 1981
in directing that two of the applicants for cable
li television licenses explore the possibility of es-
tablishing a joint venture to serve the City, you
have requested that our firm continue to provide
certain additional legal services to the City of
—, Miami in connection with the City's licensing process,
beyond those services expressly set forth in my letter
o Mr. Gar of Jul 30, 1981.
t y Y
! This is also to advise you that it is likely
that, as a result of these additional responsibilities,
Arnold & Porter's total billings to the City will ex-
ceed $100,000. In these circumstances, in accordance
with our conversation, we will continue to provide
the legal services you have requested, subject to the
same hourly rate limitations and the 1001 discount set
forth in my letter of July 30, 1981 to Mr. Gary, with;:
the understanding thap you intend to seek authorization,"
from the City Commission for the payment of fees and ANN,,
expenses in excess of $100, 000.31
