The new streets will have two drivinc• lanes bordered by t :o-foot wide concrete curb and -utter or valle- butter. Additional pavement will be constructed between the valley cutter and the sidewalK for use as an on -street parkin; area. A].thou,-h the City pay:; the cost for all drainage construction, part of the cost (257') of the street improvements must be assessed to the abutting property owners as required by the City Charter. T}7e estimated assessment for all streets is $7.75 per foot of your property fronting; on the improved street. There will be an addi- tional assessment of approximately $2.20 per front foot if now concrete sidewalk must be constructed adjacent to your property. Your assessment can be paid in full when you receive your asscs rn:-nt notice in approximately two years, or if you prefer, it can be paid over a 10-year period in equal annual installments with 5°0 simple interest on the unpaid balance.
