NO. 81-9o4 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO

HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT - 11-4474.
WHEREAS, at the City Commission meeting of October 7,
1981, Resolution No. 81-894 was passed which ordered a hirhwa,y
improvement identified as ALLAPATTAH HI0,111•1AY IMPRO1J7M71.,7 in
ALLAPATTAH HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT - �-�-4474; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to due public notice a public hearing-
w.as held before the City Commission on November 1?, lr)c�l, Zs to
any objections to the confirmation of Resolution No. 91-904, 11111ic11
resolution ordered ALLAPATTAH HIGHt-?AY I',1PRMT7%.T"1^_' in ATJ-LAPA`?'T,AH.
HIGHWAY IMPROVEP.°ENT DISTRICT - TI_4474; and
WHFI FA^, no objections to the confirmation of said hi h��ray
improvement were sustained by the Commission, it is therefore in
order for the Commission to confirm said ordering resolution and
authorize the City Clerk to advertise for sealed bids for the con-
struction of said improvement;
NOVI, THEREFORE, BF IT RESOLVED BY THE COP4MISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Resolution No. 91-894 dated October 7, 1991,
which ordered ALLAPATTA?. HIGHWAY TMPROVEMENT in ALLAPATTAH HIGHWAY

The Department of Public Works recommends the
adoption of the resolution confirming Ordering
Resolution 81-894, and authorizing the City
Clerk to advertise for sealed bids for the
construction of ALLAPATTAH HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT
in the ALLAPATTAH HIGHWAY I14PROVEIvIENT DISTRICT
H-4474.
This district consists of properties fronting; upon the
streets in the area bounded by N. W. 32 Street on the
north, 14. W. 28 Street on the south, N. I?. 17 Avenue
on the east, and N. W. 22 Avenue on the nest. This
highway improvement is part o`_' the City's continuin
program to upgrade the City of ;Miami by constructio:: of

in certain cases, landscaping''.
This improvement was ordered by the City Commission Lit

As part of the City-wide street improvement pro_�ram, the City of
Miami is planning to rebuild the following streets:

The proposed improvements will include new asphaltic pavement,
concrete curbs and/or -cutters, concrete sidewalk, storm draina-e
facilities and landscac)ed areal. The new streets will have two
drivinc• lanes bordered by t :o-foot wide concrete curb and -utter
or valle- butter. Additional pavement will be constructed
between the valley cutter and the sidewalK for use as an on -street
parkin; area. Drai.na;-e facilities will be installed : he-e neces-
sary and landscaping will be provided where practical.
A].thou,-h the City pay:; the cost for all drainage construction,
part of the cost (257') of the street improvements must be assessed
to the abutting property owners as required by the City Charter.
T}7e estimated assessment for all streets is $7.75 per foot of your
property fronting; on the improved street. There will be an addi-
tional assessment of approximately $2.20 per front foot if now
concrete sidewalk must be constructed adjacent to your property.
Your assessment can be paid in full when you receive your asscs rn:-nt
notice in approximately two years, or if you prefer, it can be paid
over a 10-year period in equal annual installments with 5°0 simple
interest on the unpaid balance.

Las propuestas mejoras incluiran nuevo pavimento asfaltico, contenes
de concreto y/o cunetas, aceras de concreto, facilidades para el dre-
naje pluvial, y areas de jardines ornamentales. Las nuevas calles
tendran dos (2) vias de conducir, bordeadas por contenes de concreto
de dos (2) pies de ancho, o cunetas de desague. Se construira pavi-
mento adicional entre dichas cunetas y las aceras para utilizarlo
como areas de estacionamiento. Se instalaran las facilidades de
drenaje donde sean requeridas, y se proveeran las areas ornamentales
donde sea practico.
Aunque la Ciudad paga por el costo de toda la construccio'n del siste-
m.a de drenaje, parse del costo (25%) de las mejoras a las calles ha de
ser adjudicado a las propiedades adyacentes de acuerdo a los Estatutos
Municipales. E1 amillaramiento estimado parer todas las calles es de
$7.75 por pie de propiedad que de frente a las mejoras. Habra un
amillaramiento adicional de $2.20 aproximadamente por pie de frente
si fuera necesario construir nuevas aceras de concreto frente a su
propiedad.
Usted podra pagar su amillaramiento en total al recibir su notificacion
dentro de dos (2) anos aproximadamente, o si prefiere, puede extender
sus pagos sobre un periodo de diez (10) anos, mas el 5% de interes
simple sobre el balance remanente.

improvements, please call Mr. Dan Brenner, Assistant Highway
Engineer, at 579-6865; or, you may come to our office at the
City's Administration Building, 275 N.W. 2 Street, 4th Floor, to
see maps and other details of the improvement, during our regular
working hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
These improvements will be discussed by the City of Miami Commission
shortly after 2 p.m. on November 12, 1981 in the Commission Chambers
at Miami City Hall, 3500 Pan American Drive, Dinner Key. At that
time you may publicly voice your comments concerning the improvements.
