A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE INTENT OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI TO COMPLY WITH STATE OF FLORIDA
STANDARDS REGARDING EROSION AND ENVIRONMENTAL,
AIR AND WATER QUALITY STANDARDS IN ALL CON-
STRUCTION SUB -PROJECTS THAT ARE A PART OF THE
LATIN QUARTER E.D.A. GRANT PROJECT.
WHEREAS, The City of Miami has accepted a grant award
from the Economic Development Administration for physical improve-
ments for the proposed Latin Quarter Project; and
WHEREAS, The City of Miami must comply with the terms
and conditions of said grant award; and
WHEREAS, a condition of the grant award is compliance
with the State of Florida erosion and environmental air and water
quality standards;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF TuE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
1. The City of Miami shall comply with the applicable
State of Florida standards for erosion and environmental air and
water quality on all construction sub -projects that are a part of
the Latin Quarter E.D.A. Grant Project.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this LOTH day of DECEMBER ,
1981.

The Department of Public Works recommends
the adoption of the attached resolution
expressing the intent of the City of Miami
to comply with State of Florida standards
regarding the Latin Quarter E.D.A. Grant
Project.
The City of Miami has accepted a grant award from the
Economic Development Administration for physical improve-
ments for the proposed Latin Quarter Project. The attach-
ed resolution expresses the City's intention to comply
with the applicable State of Florida standards for
erosion and environmental air and water quality on all
construction subprojects that are a part of the Latin
Quarter E.D.A. Grant Project.

PROJECT_NAME - LATIN QUARTER E.D.A. GRANT PROJECT No. 04-01►-18017
AND LOCATION B-6183 (N-W. 1 Street to S.W+ 9 Streets and S.W, 12
Avenue to S.W. 17 Avenue).
PROJECT SCOPE Construct sidewalk, street and drainage improvements,
tree planting, decorative lighting and street furniture
in the Little Havana area to further the Latin Quarter
concept of encouraging tourism and economic develop-
ment.
GRANT RECEIVED - Economic Development Administration, Title I Grant
of the lower of $2,000,000 or 60 percent of the
actual cost of the project was received and accepted
on September 27, 1979, by Resolution No. 79-673.
ACTION TO BE - As a grant requirement, a resolution stating that
TAKEN the City of Miami Will comply with the State of
Florida standards for erosion and environmental air
and water quality is necessary.
BENEFIT TO BE - Granting agency (E.D.A.) will commence reimbursement
REALIZED to the City twenty-five days after receipt of the
subject resolution.
