MASZKS WORKSHOP, INC, AT A COST OF $18�396.75o SOUTHERN GUN
DISTRIBUTORS AT A COST OF $2,31I.40, 3-1) INVESTMENTS, INC, AT
A COST OF $1,653.00, AND ZERO AMMUNITION CO, AT A COST OF
$3,300,00 FOR FURNISHING AMMUNITION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF POLICE;
AT A TOTAL COST OF $76o846.20; ALLOCATING FUNDS THEREFOR FROM
THE 1981=82 OPERATING BUDGET OF THAT DEPARTMENT; AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER AND THE PURCHASING AGENT TO ISSUE THE PURCHASE
ORDERS FOR THESE MATERIALS.
WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received October 29,
1981 for the furnishing of Ammunition for the Department of Police; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to 20 potential suppliers and 9 bids
were received; and
WHEREAS, funds for this purchase are available in the 1981-82 Operating
Budget; and
WHEREAS, materials will be used by the Department of Police for the pur-
pose of replacement of expended supplies; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Department of Police recommend that
the bids received from American Pistol Bullet, Buffalo Rock Shooters, Harris
House Gun and Ammo, Maszks Workshop, Inc, Southern Gun Distributors, 3-D
Investments, Inc., and Zero Ammunition Co. be accepted as the most advantageous
bids to the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1, The October 29, 1981 bids of American Pistol Bullet at. at
Cost. of $1,079.50, Buffalo Rock Shooters Supply at a cost of $47,699.55,
Harris House Gun and Ammo at a cost of. $2,400.00, Maszks Workshop, Inc. at
a cost of $18,396.75, Southern Gun Distributors at a cost of $2,317.40, 3-1)
Investments, Inc. at a cost of $1,653.00, and Zero Ammunition Co. at a cost
of $3,300.00 for furnishing Ammunition to the Department of Police, at a
total cost of $76,846.20, are hereby accepted with funds therefor hereby
allocated from the 1.981-82 Operating Budget of the Department of Police
Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to instruct
the Purchasing Agent to issue the Purchase Orders for these materials.

It is recommended that the award be made and a resolution be
passed accepting the most advantageous bids as received from
American Pistol Bullet at a cost of $1,079.50, Buffalo Rock
Shooters Supply at a cost of $47,699.55, Harris House Gun and
Ammo et_a_cost of $2.400.00. Maszk's Workshop. Inc. at a cost
of $18.396.75. Southern Gun Distributors at a cost of $2.317.,
Co. at a cost of $31300.00 for furnishing ammunition to the
Department of Police at a total cost of $76,846.20.
Pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received October 29, 1981 for furnish-
ing ammunition to the Department of Police.
Invitations were mailed to 20 potential suppliers and 9 bids were received as per
the attached tabulation. 4 "No -Bids" were also received.
Funds for this purchase are available in the 1981-82 Operating Budget.
This is a regular purchase to replenish the necessary reserves and to provide sup-
plies for training purposes.
The Department of Police concurs with this recommendation.
