Dear Mr. Garys
I have received your reply to United Cerebral
Palsy Association of Miami, Inc.'s request for
a reduction in the rental of Bayfront Park
Auditorium for the Cerebral Palsy Telethon on
January 16 and 17, 1982. I am saddened by the
fact that the City of Miami will not assist us
by reducing the rental fee.
I am requesting a personal appearance on behalf
of United Cerebral Palsy Association of Miami,
Inc. at the next Commission Meeting. I base
my. appeal for relief from the recently estab-
lished policy on two factst
1.) United Cerebral Palsy Association of Miami,
Inc. had reserved the Auditorium much in
advance of the November 129 1981 policy
date. We in fact turned down offers of
free space to house our Telethon because
we believed that $750 was a good invest-
ment in the fact that the auditorium suits
our needs.
2.) We are not requesting a total fee waiver
only a reduction as in past years.
Thank you for considering this request for a
personal appeal for relief.
Sincerely,
c
