RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION GRANTING A VARIANCE FROM ORDINANCE
NO. 6871, ARTICLE XXVII, SECTION 1(2), TO PERMIT
THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A LIQUOR LICENSE FOR PACKAGE
SALES ONLY ON LOT 21, BLOCK 5, EVANSTON HEIGHTS
(1-56), BEING APPROXIMATELY 1947 WEST FLAGLER
STREET, AS PER SURVEYS/SITE PLAN ON FILE; SAID
PROPOSED LOCATION BEING 1500' AND 2100' FROM
OTHER ESTABLISHED LICENSEES (2500' REQUIRED);

WIIREAS, the Miami Zoning Board at its meeting of
September 21,E',�981, Item # 2, following an advertised hearing,
adopted Resolution No. ZB 164-81 by a 6 to 0 vote DENYING variance
as hereinafter set,forth; and
WHEREAS, the applicant has taken an appeal from the
denial of the variance to, the City Commission and
WHEREAS, the City•'Commission notwithstanding the
denial of the Zoning Board, and after careful consideration of
this matter finds that due to peculiar circumstances affecting
this parcel of land, practical difficulties and unnecessary
hardships would impair the owner's right to the reasonable use
of the property without the variance granted as hereinafter set
forth;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF --,THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: `
Section 1. The request for a variance as per Ordinance
No. 6871., Article XXVII, Section 1(2), to permit the establishment
of a liquor license for package sales only on Lot 21, Block 5,
EVANSTON HEIGHTS (1-56), being approximately 1947 West Flagler Street,
as per surveys/site plan on file; said proposed location being
1.50Q+., 1850' and 2100' from other established licensees (2500'
required); zoned C-4 (General Commercial), be and the same is
hereby granted.

The Miami Zoning Board, at its meeting of September 21, 1981, Item #2,
following an advertised Hearing, adopted Resolution No. ZB 164-81 by a
6 to 0 vote DENYING Variance from Ordinance 6871, ARTICLE XXVII.. Section
1(2), to permit the establishment of a liquor license for package sales
only on Lot 21, Block 5, EVANSTON HEIGHTS (1-56), being approximately
1947 West Flagler Street, as per surveys/site plan on file; said proposed
location being 1500', 1850' and 2100' from other established licensees
(2500' required); zoned C-4 (General Commercial).
Seven objectors present at the meeting. Two replies in favor received
in the mail; three proponents present at the meeting.
A RESOLUTION to provide for this Variance has been prepared by the City
