B-2825B AFRICAN SQUARE RECREATION BUILDING - MODIFICATIONS Resolution Awarding Contract ks <7(For Commission Meeting of February 11, 1982) The Department of Public Works and the Office of Community Development recommend adoption of the resolution accepting the bid received January 13, 1982 of MET Construction Co., Inc., in the amount of $147,661 and authorizing the City Manager to enter into a contract on behalf of the City for AFRICAN SQUARE RECREATIO14 BUILDING - MODIFICATIONS. Bids were received January 13, 1932 for renovating an existing building at 1466 N. 11. 62 Street. As reflected in the tabulation of bids. the $147,661 bid of MET Construction Co., Inc., is the lowest responsible bid for base bid plus additive item A of the proposal. Funds have been allocated from the Federal Community Development Blocs; Grant fund in the amount of $136,181 and from Special Programs arid Accounts in the amount of $15,000 for the estimated cost of the contract, for such items as advertising, testinj laboratories, postage, and for indirect costs.
