A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF CLUB CAR, INC. j FOR FURNISHING 12 ELECTRIC GOLF CARTS TO THE DE- PARTTIENT OF PARKS AT A TOTAL COST OF $18,900.00; ALLOCATING FUNDS THEREFOR FROM THE 1981--82 OPERA- TING BUDGET OF THAT DEPARTMENT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND THE PURCHASING AGENT TO ISSUE THE PURCHASE ORDER FOR THIS EQUIPMENT. WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received December 3, 1981 for the furnishing of 12 Electric Golf Carts for the Department of Parks; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to 9 potential suppliers and 3 bids were received; and WHEREAS, funds for this purchase are available in the 1981-82 Operating Budget; and WHEREAS, this equipment will be used by the Department of Parks for the purpose of replacement of worn equipment; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Department of Parks recom- mend that the bid received from Club Car, Inc. be accepted as the most advantageous bid to the City; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The December 3, 1981 bid of Club Car, Inc. for furnishing 12 Electric Golf Carts to the Department of Parks at a total cost of $18,900.00 is hereby accepted with funds therefor hereby allocated from the 1981-82 Operating Budget of that Depart- ment. Section 2. Thatthe City Manager is hereby authorized to instruct the Purchasing Agent to issue the Purchase Order for this equipment. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 11TH day of FEBRUARY 1982. s i MAURICE A. Pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received December 3, 1981 for furnishing 12 Electric Golf Carts to the Depart- ment of Parks. Invitations were mailed to 9 potential suppliers and 3 bids were received as per the attached tabulation. 2 "No Bids" were also received. Funds for this purchase are available in the 1981-82 operating Budget. This is a regular replacement of worn equipment which is used as rental units at the Iielreese Golf Course, 12 worn units will be traded in. The Department of Parks concurs with this recommendation.
