BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. A. Attached is a draft resolution providing for the appointment of six public members to the Affirmative Action Advisory Board. i Three vacancies occurred as a result of an amended Ordinance which now requires board members to reside in the City of Miami. Three other vacancies were created by resignation of Board Members. See attached list of vacancies. Section 1 of Ordinance 9139 provides for the City Commission to appoint members to the Board and in accordance with administrative policy I am notifying you of the above so that your office may advise the Commission. The resolution reflects appointments to take effect immediately as a result of resignations and those appointments to take effect December 12, 1981, the effective date of the Ordinance adopted November 12, 1981 (No. 9348) which established residency within the City as a requirement for serving on said Board. This office would very much appreciate receiving word from you as to present membership of your Board, the specific terms in office each member is to serve, and which specific vacancies they are filling in for.
