Gary1t_F Eh E!:CE.ri. City Ntmager ENCLOSURES. E It is recommnded that $23,980 be appropriated for the Parks Department to hire three Grounds Tenders to reestablish a fire station maintenance crew, per the attached ordinance. Fire station maintenance crews were eliminated in the F1'81-82 budget and the exterior grounds maintenance was to be accomplished by Fire Department personnel. The accomplishment of fire station maintenance by fire personnel is not effective due to the other service requirements of the Fire Department. Inasmuch as there is existing maintenance equipment being used by the Parks Department and there are sufficient funds in the Fiscal Year 1981 Fund Balance, it is recommended that $23,980 be appropriated for the Parks Department to hire three Grounds Tenders to re-establish a fire station maintenance crew.
