RESOLUTION NO. 8 2- 4 2 1
A RESOLUTION RATIFYING AND CONFIRMING
THE ACTION OF THE ADMINISTRATION IN
AUTHORIZING THE ADDITIONAL WORK OF
BARTON-ASCHMAN ASSOCIATES, INC. ON
THE DOWNTOWN GOVERNMENT CENTER PARKING
GARAGE IN THE AMOUNT OF $10,400;
ALLOCATING SAID AMOUNT FROM THE PARKING
CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND
WHEREAS, the Commission of The City of Miami,
by Resolution No. 80-375, approved the agreement with
Barton-Aschman Associates, Inc. for feasibility and
design studies for the Downtown Government Center Parking
Garage; and
WHEREAS, additional work was requested as
authorized under Section VII - Additional Work Authorized
by the City, for revision of the final report to reflect
alternate parking rates, interest rates, and the effect
of elimination of retail commercial stores;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Commission hereby approves
the extra work accomplished by Barton-Aschman Associates,
Inc. on the Downtown Government Center Parking Garage.
Section 2. The City Commission hereby authorizes
the payment of $10,400 to said firm, using the Parking
Capital Projects Fund to pay for the negotiated costs of
said work.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 11th day of May , 1982.

The Department of Public Works reccmmends
the adoption of the attached resolution
ratifying and confirming; the action of the
Administration in authorizing the additional
work of Barton-Aschman Associates, Inc., on
the Downtown Government Center Parkin7;
Facility in the amount of $10,400; allocating;
said amount from the Parking Capital Projects
Fund.
Resolution No. 80-375, of May 22, 1980, approved the agreement with
Barton-Aschman Associates Inc., and allocated $21,000 for the
feasibility study. Section VII - "Additional Work Authorized by
the City", authorized the City to neriotiate with Barton-Aschman
Associates Inc., for any additional services found necessary by the
City. However, additional funds for those services, if necessary,
were not allocated.
Additional services determined by the City to be necessary included
the effects on the financing^ of alternate parking: rates, alternate
interest rates, and of eliminating the commercial retail space from
the garage. The price neriotiated for this additional work was
$10,400.
The City Commission by Resolution No. 81-576 of June.25, 1981, approved
and accepted the final feasibility report Preuared by Barton-Aschman
Associates, Inc.
It is now necessary to ratify and confirm the action taken by the
Administration in authorizing; this additional work and to allocate the
sum of $101400 from the Parkinfr Capital Projects Fund for that work.
This amount is available from the $10,40Q,000 in appropriated 1981
Parking Revenue Bonds.
