A RESOLUTION GRANTING TO DADE COUNTY A
QUIT -CLAIM DEED FOR A PORTION OF LOT 11
IN BLOCK 95N A.L. KNOWLTON MAP OF MIAMI
(B-41) CITY OF MIAMI PROPERTY FOR HIGHWAY
PURPOSES AT N.W. 2ND STREET AND N.W. 3RD
AVENUE AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DEED THEREOF.
WHEREAS, Metropolitan Dade County in accordance with the Master
Plan of the Downtown Government Center, is modifying certain streets
to improve traffic conditions in the area; and
WHEREAS, to provide a smooth transition of the 1-95 ramp
modification and N.W. 3rd Avenue along the westerly side of the pro-
posed municipal garage to N.W. 2nd Street and N.W. 3rd Avenue North
a portion of the City of Miami's property is needed; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works has reviewed the County's
plan and deems the taking of such property for said road purposes
justified; and
WHEREAS, the City will quit -claim to the County for road
purposes a portion of Lot 11 Block 95N (B-41) at the South westerly
corner of their property; and
WHEREAS, it is now in order for the City Commission to approve
the conveyance of said property for road purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Manager and the City Clerk of the City of
Miami are hereby authorized to execute and deliver to Metropolitan
Dade County, Florida, a quit -claim deed for a portion of Lot 11
Block 95N A.L. KNOWLTON MAP OF MIAMI (B-41) for highway purposes and
more particularly described in Exhibit "A" and shown on Exhibit "B"
attached hereto and made a part thereof.

Section 2. The City of Miami reserves the right to use the
aforesaid property for utility purposes. Subject to existing covenants,
agreements, easements, restrictions, reservations, Zoning Ordinances,
and limitation of record, if any.

Dade County for City of Miami
Property at N.W. 2nd Street
and 3rd Avenue.
For Commission Meeting
The Department of Public Works
recommends adoption of the attached
Resolution Granting to Dade County
a Quit -Claim Deed for a portion of
City of Miami property for highway
purposes at N.W. 2nd Street and 3rd
Avenue.
Dade County is in the process of doing extensive modifications to the
streets in the Downtown Government Center to improve traffic flow in
the area. As part of this project they will revise the alignment of
N.W. 3rd Avenue and the I-95 ramp adjacent to the proposed municipal
garage and the City Administration building.
A portion of the City's property on the northeast corner of N.W. 2nd
Street and 3rd Avenue is needed to provide a smooth transition in the
alignment.
The City of Miami has been requested by Dade County to grant for
highway purposes a portion of Lot 11 in Block 95N A.L. KNOWLTON MAP
OF MIAMI (B-41) and to quit -claim the City's interest thereof.
