HomeMy WebLinkAboutO-09432Mot. 82-358 (April 22, 1982) Amendment . 19 to Ordinance No_ 9325 �' 4 2 ORDINANCE N0. ��� AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 1 AND 5 OF ORDINANCE NO 9321 ADOPTED SEPTEM- BER 24, 1981, THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATIONS ORDINANCE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING SEPTEMBER SEPTEMBER 30. 1982, AS AMENDED, BY INCREASING THE APPROPRIATION FOR THE GENERAL FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $12,000 FOR THE MAYOR'S OFFICE, AND BY INCREASING GENERAL FUND REVENUE IN THE SAME AMOU14T FROM MISCELLANEOUS REVENUE FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FUNDING FOR AN ADMINISTRATIVE ASSIS- TANT I IN THE MAYOR'S OFFICE; CONTAINING A REPEALER PROVISION AND A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE C01MISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Sections 1. and 5 of Ordinance No. 9321. adopted September 24, 1931, the annual appropriations ordinance for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1982, as amended, is 1/ hereby further amended in the following particulars:_ 1/ Words and/or figures stricken through shall be deleted. Underscored words and/or figures constitute the amendment proposed. The remaining previsions are now in effect and remain unchanged. Asterisks indicate omitted and unchanged material. The herein appropriation of $12.000 for the Mayor's office is for the purpose of funding one additional position, of Acriinistrative Assi.sr_ant I The revenue needed to accomplish same is derived from Miscellaneous Revenue. 2- q4 32 Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances insofar as they are inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 4. If any section, part of section, paragraph, clause, phrase,or word of this ordinance is declared invalid, the remaining provisions of this ordinance shall not be affected. Section 5. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure on the grounds of urgent public need for the preservation of peace, health, safety, and property of the City of Miami, and upon the further grounds of the necessity to make the required and necessary payments to its employees and officers, payment of its contracts, payment of interest and principal on its debts, necessary and required purchases of goods and supplies, and to generally carry on the functions and duties of its municipal affairs. Section 6. The requirement of reading this ordinance on two separate days is hereby dispensed with by a vote of not less than four -fifths of the members of the Commission.
