AS AMENDED, THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING
ORDINANCE FOR THE CITY OF MIAMI, BY
CHANGING THE ZONING CLASS IFICATION FROM
I-1 (LIGHT INDUSTRIAL) TO GU (GOVERNMEN-
TAL USE) ON BLOCKS 1 AND 2 (PT); NORTH
28' OF THE SOUTH 53' OF THE EAST 420' OF
THE WEST 1014.26' t COMMENCING AT NORTH-
WEST 10T'H AVENUE. AND EXTENDING 1014.26' i
EASTERLY BOHEMIA PARK AMEND (6-171);
BEING APPROXIMATELY 701-999 NORTHWEST
22ND STREET, AND MAKING THE NECESSARY
CHANGES IN THE ZONING DISTRICT MAP MADE A
PART OF SAID ORDINANCE NO. 6871 BY
REFERENCE AND DESCRIPTION IN ARTICLE III,
SECTION 2, THEREOF; BY REPEALING ALL
ORDININCES, CODE SECTIONS OR PARTS
THEREOF IN CONFLICT; AND CONTAINING A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE: AND DISPENSING WITH THE
REQUIREMENT OF READING THE SANE ON TWO SEPARATE
DAYS BY A VOTE; OF NOT LESS THAN FOUR -FIFTHS OF THE
MEMBERS OF THE CO'd-'TSSION.
WHEREAS, the Miami Planning Advisory Board
at its
Meeting of April 21, 1982, Item 4 5(a) following an
adver-
tised hearing, adopted Resolution No. PAB 28-82 by a
5 to 1,
RECOMMENDING DENIAL of a change of zoning classification
as
hereinafter set Earth; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has found that the
herein
proposed zoning classification amendment is:
(a) COMPA'iIBLE WITH THE SURROUNDING NEIGHBORHOOD;
(b) NOT IN CONFLICT WITH PLANNING FOR THE AREA;
(c) READILY ACCESSIBLE;
(d) NOT ADVERSE. IN IMPACT TO THE SURROUNDING
NEIGHBORHOOD;
WHEREAS, the City Commission, notwithstanding the
RECOMMENDATION OF DENIAL by the Planning Advisory Board,
finds that the use will not be detrimental or injurious to
the character or the development of the immediate neighbor-
hood.
NOW, THEREFORE;, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF HIAMI, FLORIDA.
Section 1. Ordinance No. 6871, as amended,
the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance of tho City of Miami,
is
hereby
amended by changing
the zoning classification from
I-1
(LIGHT
INDUS`1'RIAL) to GU
(GOVERNMENTAL:, USE) on Blocks 1
and 2 (PT) ; North 28' of the South 53' of the East 420' of
the West 1014.26' + commencing at Nor_thwec3t loth Avenue and
extending 1014. 26' ± easterly BOHEMIA PARK AMENDED (6-171) ;
being approximately 701-999 Northwest 22nd Street.
Section 2. The Zoning District Map made a part of
said Ordinance No. 6871 by reference and description in Ar-
ticle ILL, Section 2 of said Ordinance is hereby amended to
reflect the changes made necessary by the amendment.
Section 3. TEzat all Ordinances, or parts of Ordi-
nances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby re-
pealed insofar as they are in conflict.
Section 4. Should any part- or provision of this
Ordinance be declared by a Court- of competent jurisdiction
to be invalid, the same shall not affect the validity of the
Ordinance as a Thole.
Section 5. The requirement of readinq this ordinance on two
separate days: is hereby dispensed with by a vote of not less than four -
fifths of the members of the Commission.
