HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-82-05521 ti RESOLUTION NO. -r A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE COMPLETED VTOPK OF FRE CONSTRUCTION CO., INC AT A TOTAL COST OF $531,597.29 FOR ALLAPATTAH NW 23 STREET C.D. PAVING PROJECT - PHASE II; AND AUTHORIZING A FINAL PAYMENT OF $71,889.50 WHEREAS, there exists a contract dated May 19, 1981 between the City of Miami and FRE Construction Co., Inc; and WHEREAS, the work has been satisfactorily completed, and FRE Construction Co., Inc. has furnished the required documents certifying that all bills for labor and Materials have been paid in full in connection with the aforesaid contract; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Department of Public Works recommend that the completed work be accepted and final pay- ment made to the contractor; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The completed wore: performed by FRE Construction for ALLAPATTAH NW 23 STREET C.D. PAVING PROJECT - PHASE II at a total cost of $531,597.29 is hereby approved. Section 2. The proper officials of the City of Miami are hereby authorized to pay $71,889.50 to FRE Construction Co., Inc. as full and final payment for all work performed and all materials furnished in connection with ALLAPATTAH NW 23 STREET C.D. Cather Director REFERENCES rP.s D rtme t b 'c Wo(For Commission Meeting Dt of June 17, 1982) V The Department of Public Works recommends the adoption of the resolution accepting the completed work and authorizing a final payment of $71,889.50 to FRE Construction Co., Inc. for ALLAPATTAH NW 23 STREET C.D. PAVING PROJECT - PHASE II. FRE Construction Co., Inc. has completed the project consisting of constructing one-half mile of street including asphaltic pave- ment, concrete sidewalk, concrete curbs and/or gutters, a covered ditch drainage system, landscaping and sanitary sewer modifications located on-N. W. 23 Street between N. W. 17-22 Avenues. The original contract amount was for $540,677.00, and the completed amount is $531,597.29. It was completed on time. It is now in order for the Commission to accept the completed cork and authorize final payment, after all conditions are met.
