IN THE PROPOSED AMOUNT OF $347,000, BASE BID PLUS ADDITIVE ITEM "A" OF THE PROPOSAL, FOR ORANGE BOWL - UPPER DECK IMPROVEMENTS - 1982; WITH MONIES THEREFOR ALLOCATED FROM THE "TOURIST DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL FUNDS" IN THE AMOUNT OF $347,000 TO COVER THE CONTRACT COST; ALLOCATING FROM SAID FUND THE AMOUNT OF $38,170 TO COVER THE COST OF PROJECT EXPENSE; ALLOCATING FROM SAID FUND THE AMOUNT OF $6,940 TO COVER THE COST OF SUCH ITEMS AS ADVERTISING, TESTING LABORATORIES, AND POSTAGE; ALLOCATING FROM SAID FUND THE AMOUNT OF $14,390 TO COVER THE INDIRECT COST; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH SAID FIRM WHEREAS, sealed bids were received May 25, 1982 for ORANGE BOWL - UPPER DECK IMPROVEMENTS - 1982; and WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the bid of MET Construction, Inc., for base bid plus Additive Item "A" of the proposal, is the lowest responsible bid, and recommends that a contract be awarded to said firm; and WHEREAS, the monies are available from the "Tourist Development Council Funds" for the estimated amount of the contract, for project expense, for such items as advertising, testing laboratories, postage, and for indirect cost; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIA1-1I, FLORIDA: Section 1. The May 25, 1982 bid of MET Construction, Inc. in the proposed amount of $347,000, for the project entitled ORANGE BOWL - UPPER DECK IMPROVEMENTS - 1982, for the base bid plus Additive Item "A" of the proposal, based on a lump sum, is hereby accepted at the price stated therein. The amount of $347,000 is hereby allocated from the account entitled "Tourist Development Council Funds" to cover the cost of said contract. Section 3. The additional amount of $38,170 is hereby allocated from the aforesaid fund to cover the cost of project expense. Section 4. The additional amount of $6,940 is hereby allocated from the aforesaid fund to cover the cost of such incidental items as advertising, testing laboratories, and postage. Section 5. The additional amount of $14,390 is hereby allocated from the aforesaid fund to cover the indirect cost. Section 6. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract on behalf of The City of Piiami with MET Construction, Inc. for ORANGE BWL - UPPER DECK IMPROVEIENTS - 1982, for base bid plus Additive Item "A" of the proposal. 1982. Bids were received May 25, 1982 for replacing the perimeter fence around the upper deck with 8-foot high chain link fence and replacing existing incandescent lights with metal halide. As reflected in the tabulation of bids, the $347,000 bid of MET Construction, Inc. is the lowest responsible bid for base bid plus Additive Item "A" of the proposal. Funds have been allocated under the "Tourist Development Council Funds" for the estimated amount of the contract, for project expense, for such items as advertising, testing laboratories, postage, and for indirect cost.
