FOR FURNISHING FUEL TANK MODIFICATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF BUILDING AND VEHICLE MAINTENANCE: AT A TOTAL COST OF $8,183.00; ALLOCATING FUNDS THEREFOR FROM THE 1981-82 OPERATING BUDGET OF THAT DEPARTMENT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND THE PURCHASING AGENT TO ISSUE THE PURCHASE ORDER FOR THIS SERVICE. WHEREAS, Pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received May 11, 1982 for the furnishing of Fuel Tank Modification for the Department of Building and Vehicle Maintenance; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to 13 potential suppliers and 3 bids were received; and WHEREAS, funds for this purchase are available in the 1981-82 Operating Budget; and WHEREAS, this service will be used by the Department of Build- ing and Vehicle Maintenance for the purpose of complying with the State Code; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Department of Building and Vehicle Maintenance recommend that the bid received from Sutton Oil Equipment Co., Inc. be accepted as the most advantageous bid to the City; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The May 11, 1982 bid of Sutton Oil Equipment Co., Inc. for furnishing Fuel Tank Modification to the Department of Building and Vehicle Maintenance; at a total cost of $8,183.00 is hereby accepted with funds therefor hereby allocated from the 1981-82 Operating Budget of that department. Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to instruct the Purchasing Agent to issue the Purchase Order for this service. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of junp 1982• Maurice A. Mullins ENCLOSURES Award of Bid, Resolution Purchasing Agent It is recommended that the award be made and a resolution be passed accepting the most advan- tageous bid as received from Sutton Oil Eouip- ment Co., Inc. for furnishing Fuel. Tank Modifi- cation at a total cost of $8,183.00. Pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received May 11, 1982 for furnishing Fuel Tank Modification to the Department of Build- ing and Vehicle Maintenance. Invitations were mailed to 13 potential suppliers and 3 bids were received as listed on the Award of Bid. Funds for this purchase are available in the 1981-82 Operating Budget. The Department of Buildingand Vehicle Maintenance was advised that the Florida Administrative Code requires "vapor recovery connections on gasoline dispensing facilities having a monthly thru put of 20,000 gallons per month or more. The City's fuel facilities at the main motor pool and Police Depart- ment meet this criteria. The Department of Building and Vehicle Maintenance concurs with this recommendation.
